The Community Woods and Garden welcomes corporate volunteers from a variety of sectors such as banking, construction, software development and engineers to name but a few. This is a great way to promote team wellbeing whilst giving back to the community. We always have fun activities to get involved with such as building raised beds, landscaping, woodland path maintenance and community growing. These groups are vital for larger tasks which may become overwhelming for our regular volunteers.
We provide:
• A skilled member of staff who will supervise work and can provide training on tool use
• Tea, coffee and biscuits
• Toilet facilities
• All tools, PPE and first aid kits required for the task
On arrival you will be asked to complete a physical readiness for volunteering questionnaire.
This allows us to provide a fun and safe volunteer environment for everyone.
Corporate volunteering does require additional staff time and materials. Due to these costs, we are required to charge £15 per volunteer. If this cost is a barrier to you, please speak to us.
